Hello Oakbrook Community! Just want to give a shout out to our few community members who show up time and time again to help make a difference! They not only donate their hard earned money, but also their energy and dedication! Then, we also want to thank the many supporters who stopped and thanked us all and contributed to Project Beautify’s $5,000 goal!
As of today, we now have raised $2,142 toward our $5,000 goal. We raised a whopping $542 today and some people donated a couple of dollars and some donated $100. Every little bit helps! While we’re almost half way there, WE STILL NEED support and help for the long haul.
Phase .5 – has been the clean up and fundraising effort
Phase 1 – is the excavation that is happening on 7/22 along with rock wall being constructed on 7/23. Thanks to Green Tech Excavation and Chad Bickle. You rock. Without Oakbrook resident Chad and GTE, we wouldn’t be as far along as we are in this process. Please head over to Green Tech’s Facebook page and give a loud thank you for donating his equipment and labor to our community cause! https://www.facebook.com/greentechexcavation
Phase 2 – as funding allows, we will be creating a beautifully landscaped entrance that we can all be proud of. Father Nature Landscapes has generously agreed to help us with landscape and design. Please head over to their Facebook page and give them a loud resounding shout out of gratitude! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Father-Nature-Landscapes-of-Tacoma-Inc/221338757928036?fref=ts
Phase 3 – as funding allows, we will be commissioning a Welcome to Oakbrook sign that will be mounted on the rock wall.
So, please share with your neighbors the good news of what we are trying to do. Get involved and help make a difference. Get inspired and get actively involved!!! You won’t regret it.
Check out our beautiful project info sign at corner of 87th & Onyx that was generously donated by Power Effects Signs.
